Electronic shutter (ES)
- Apr 13, 2018 -
The English name of the electronic shutter, Electronic Shutter, is a term used to contrast the mechanical shutter function of the camera. It is equivalent to controlling the sensation time of the CMOS image sensor. Since the essence of COMS exposure is the accumulation of signal charges, the longer the exposure time, the longer the signal charge accumulation time and the greater the amplitude of the output signal current. By adjusting the accumulation time of the photo-generated signal charge (that is, adjusting the width of the clock pulse), the function of controlling the exposure time of the COMS can be realized.
