The camera is a front-end device that acquires the image of the surveillance site. It uses the area array CMOS image sensor as the core component, plus a synchronization signal generation circuit, a video signal processing circuit, and a power supply. In recent years, new low-cost MOS image sensors have developed rapidly. Cameras based on MOS image sensors have begun to be applied to videophones or conference television systems that do not require high image quality. Since the MOS image sensor's resolution and low illumination are temporarily inferior to the main indicators, the COMS image sensor is not used. Therefore, the camera used in the monitoring system is still a COMS camera.

The camera has black and white and color, because the black and white camera has the advantages of high resolution, low illumination, and especially it can be imaged under infrared light, so in the television monitoring system, black and white COMS cameras still have a higher market share. By the way, the cameras listed in the list of CCTV surveillance equipment are usually without the lens (except for the integrated camera). Therefore, in practical applications, the camera should be fitted with the actual environment of the monitoring site and user requirements. Lens

The use of the camera is very simple. Normally, it is only necessary to properly mount the lens, connect the signal cable, and turn on the power to work. However, in actual use, if you do not install the lens correctly and adjust the camera and lens status, you may not achieve the intended effect. Pay attention to the interface between the lens and the camera, whether it is a C-type interface or a CS-type interface (this must be remembered, otherwise it may damage the CMOS camera's CMOS chip when the C-type lens is directly screwed onto the CS interface camera).
